AirMiners - MRV for Biomass Storage Above & Below Ground and Marine

Biomass storage and sinking is a very new method of CDR, and as such we'll be diving into how to Measure, Report, and Verify how the tonnage gets removed! To that end we have a triple CEO panel lined up for our audience, each covering one of above ground storage, below ground storage, and marine storage.

  • John Lin, CEO and Co-Founder, Tau Carbon - They are a 1 year old startup working to remove CO2 from the atmosphere by preserving dried and densified wood waste in Above Ground modular containers. John is a Lawyer and a Chemical Engineer who is eager to get Tau’s innovative CDR method to market.
  • Ram Amar, CEO, Rewind - Our second 1 year old startup tackling anoxic carbon conservation in the Black Sea (Israel). He will be telling us the story behind his marine application. Ram has exited a Big Data SaaS company to Google and is in the quest for carbon capture with Rewind.
  • Christopher Knop, is our second lawyer of the panel and the CEO of Carbon Sequestration Inc. (we would be referring to them as CSI), They are a 4 year old operation who is partnering with forest owners in the American South to sequester CO2 using woody biomass burial below ground. Chris is the owner of the Knop Law Firm, PLLC, where he specializes in oil and gas and estate planning work.
  • Adriana Penuela-Useche, I am a passionate Climate advocate that has been supporting early stage climate startups with technical and financial support as they prepare to get into funding rounds. I obtained my MBA from Berkeley Haas school of business recently after 10 years of chemical engineering experience with major corporations.
